The Shay Murtagh Team believe in sustainability using the most modern manufacturing methods and the best evolution of our process to deliver an excellent product but be mindful of resources and environment. In 2003 Shay Murtagh Precast became the first concrete manufacturer to achieve ISO14001 Environmental management system which has an crucial part of our Integrated Management System, recycling, reinstating and reducing waste are inbuilt to our growth.

As such the Company has reinstated a disused part of the quarry to a nine hole golf course, which is free for use during business hours to the local community and staff. And a couple of times a year the golf course is opened to local charities for Golf Classics to raise vital funds.

The lakes surrounding this we have also stocked with Rainbow Trout and Carp, and again we open to fishing on a catch and release basis.

Both amenities free and very popular to young and old alike.
