An impressive bridge reconstruction job in a stunning location at Commondale in the North York Moors, working with Network Rail.
The project included the removal of old riveted steel plate deck and timber waybeams, replaced with new Precast concrete cills, beams and bridge parapet units cast by Shay Murtagh Precast Ltd. These were stitched together insitu and overlaid with a waterproofing membrane system by Waterseal.
All this whilst juggling a track renewal either side of the bridge undertaken by Ballycommon Rail Ltd.
Another bridge renewed on time without accident or injury, and with excellent integration with the local community!
