We are thrilled to announce the successful installation of the first structure at the A40: Llanddewi Velfrey to Redstone Cross improvement project. This milestone was achieved in collaboration with our esteemed client, main contractor Alun Griffiths, for the Government of Wales. The installation took place at the Blaenmarlais A40 site, marking a significant step forward in this vital infrastructure project.
The A40 improvement project encompasses a 6.2km stretch of new road, which includes the construction of a new roundabout to the east of Llanddewi Velfrey and a new junction to the west of the community. This area has long suffered from heavy traffic, often dangerously exceeding speed limits along the narrow roads through the village centre. The project’s primary goal is to enhance road safety and improve the quality of life for the local community.
We are particularly excited to highlight the use of our high-quality precast concrete bridgebeams in this project. These beams are essential for ensuring the durability and stability of the new road structures.
