Shay Murtagh Precast were contracted by Story Contracting to complete the precast concrete works for the upgrade of the bridge adjacent to Boatside Inn in Hexham for Network Rail.
The scope of the project was to remove the existing bridge structure and install 2 new billet decks including precast cills in a rail possession. The cills were bespoke and unique to any standard cill we have done before. Each cill was 10m long x 2.4m high and weighed 50 tonne respectively.
