Public Art and its impact, creating those third places, where we all can enjoy as a community.
One of our latest completions in Evans Concrete Products Ltd by Shay Murtagh is the project known as Rochester Riverside Phase 3 Public Art 'Under the Shadow of the Crane'.
The pre-cast concrete Amphitheatre and public space at CRANE POINT, on the banks of the River Medway is now almost complete. Christopher Tipping created this piece of public art & interpretation as part of the Arts Strategy and creative commissioning delivered by FRANCISKNIGHT LTD on behalf of client Countryside and The Hyde Group at their flagship development at Rochester Riverside in Kent.
This large, award winning housing development project has been delivered by architects and landscape architects BPTW and LUC respectively - the Amphitheatre was designed by LUC. Evans manufactured the precast concrete structure which embedded 160 letters into the step/seat riser face.
A stunning space.
