St. Denys in Southampton Contract was a complex integration of a range of precast sections to refurbish this rail overbridge. It comprised of 8 no bearing beams, 4 no cill beams, 4 no bespoke anchor blocks and 9 no box beams 13.0m in length each. The structure was completed with individual precast parapet sections. These parapet sections were manufactured with a Lincoln pattern by insitex on external face. While waiting to deliver this structure we performed a trial erection for Carillion at our factory and completed the sectional installation program for their onsite team. The bridge structure was fully assembled for the Client and disassembled and loaded in order of positioning for their Construction Team. In total there were 22 loads of our manufactured goods shipped to this site in the week pre-construction. Our transport team worked through the Christmas period for this project and full delivery and assembly was completed on 28th December 2009.
